Behind NAT

PBX behind NAT / local IP
If the SIP server is in the local network, then select "YES" from the pull-down list to enable correct resolution of the domain names or IPs.

PBX behind NAT / local IP is -> YES (activated)
The telephone sends the local IP address of the computer to the telephone system. The telephone system in the LAN sends the data back to this IP and data exchange can take place.

PBX behind NAT / local IP is -> NO (deactivated)
The telephone sends the public IP address of the computer / Internet connection to the telephone system . The STUN procedure is often used to determine the address (network settings) . The telephone system in the WAN (Internet) sends the data back to this IP and data exchange can take place.

Use DNS

This function is preset and should not be changed. If the SIP service used transmits its configuration data via SVR in the DNS protocol (DNS - Domain Name System), the function can be used. The configuration of the SIP server settings is then fully automatic. If the server supports this function If not, the activation can lead to runtime problems of the phone

Local ring tone

As a rule, telephone systems and VoIP providers play their own "call signs" during a call process. In rare cases this is not the case and you can activate local signaling by the telephone. The basic setting is "AUTO". In this setting, the so-called "Early Media ” imported, i.e. charge announcements, call signs, etc. “YES” only plays the local call sign, no “Early Media”. “NO” only plays “Early Media”.

DTMF (Dual Tone Multiple Frequency)

DTMF used to transmit digits during a connection (MFV- post-dialing) . Inband: DTMF-Digits are transmitted in the voice band (reliably via G.711) . Outband: DTMF-Digits are transmitted outside the voice band by signaling according to RFC 2833.

Video on demand

By default, this function should be DISABLED and means that the SIP server already negotiates VIDEO support with the call signaling. However, some services require that VIDEO must be renegotiated! Then set the value to “YES”. IMPORTANT: In rare cases, phone servers are configured in such a way that this setting also affects successful audio transmission.

Individual ringtone / URL

Activate the individual ringtone to give the selected SIP-account its own musical note for incoming calls. Ringtones supplied by the telephone system are supported by activation (Alert-Info). The *.WAV audio format is supported. Click “…” for an alternative URL or select a local music file. The *.WAV audio format is supported. If a file is specified, then this always has priority over the ringtone of the telephone system.
